Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Cusco Tourist Ticket mandatory for this tour?
Yes, it is completely mandatory. The Cusco Tourist Ticket grants access to Pisac and Ollantaytambo. You will not be able to enter the archaeological sites without it. We recommend purchasing it in advance in Cusco. Ask your guide if you have any questions.
Does the buffet lunch accommodate special diets?
Generally, the buffet includes vegetarian and vegan options, such as salads, soups, and side dishes. If you have a strict dietary restriction, please inform us in advance. We will try to coordinate specific options with the restaurant.
How much time do we spend at the Pisac market?
We spend approximately one hour at the Pisac market. You will have enough time to explore local handicrafts and observe traditional weaving and pottery techniques before continuing to the Pisac archaeological site.
How physically demanding is the walk at Ollantaytambo?
The walk is moderate but not exhausting. You will climb several Inca stone steps, similar to walking up a few floors. The guide always maintains a comfortable pace for the group. The views from the top are well worth the effort.
Can we stay in Ollantaytambo to continue to Machu Picchu?
Yes, this is a very popular option. Many travelers stay in Ollantaytambo at the end of the tour. Just inform the guide before the tour begins so you can take your train to Aguas Calientes that same afternoon.
