Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best train for this tour?
We use the most comfortable and convenient train service, usually Expedition or Voyager. These trains have large windows and comfortable seating for an enjoyable and efficient journey.
Can I do this tour without being acclimatized in Cusco?
Machu Picchu is at a lower altitude than Cusco. However, the tour pace is fast. We recommend at least one acclimatization day in Cusco, as the altitude and long hours can be demanding.
What happens if my return train is delayed?
Train delays are very rare. If it happens, our team will monitor the situation and coordinate your return transportation to Cusco. You will always have assistance.
Can I bring food into the Machu Picchu citadel?
Site regulations do not allow food inside. Only a reusable water bottle is permitted. There is a café outside the main entrance. We recommend having a good breakfast beforehand.
How much free time do I have after the guided tour?
Free time is very limited due to the itinerary. The main goal is to return on time for the train. If permitted by the guide, you may take quick photos. The total time inside the site follows the official circuit rules.
