Day 1: The Vinicunca Challenge
We begin very early with hotel pickup in Cusco. Travel by bus to Cusipata or Pitumarca for breakfast. Continue by vehicle to the starting point of the hike. The uphill hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The trail is steep and physically demanding due to altitude. Follow your guide’s steady and safe pace.
Upon reaching the summit of Vinicunca, enjoy the magical view. The colorful stripes are the result of natural mineral composition. You will have time to take photos and rest. Descend along the same route. Return to the starting point for a well-deserved lunch. After lunch, travel back to Cusco by bus. Arrival in the city is around 7:00 PM.
