Help with Your Booking Process
At Authentic Puriq Tours, we have designed a clear and secure booking process to make planning your adventure to Machu Picchu and the Andes simple. We understand that planning an international trip requires certainty, which is why we provide this detailed guide, backed by our team of expert advisors in Cusco. If you have any questions not covered here, please do not hesitate to use our direct contact channels.
1. Detailed Booking Process (4 Steps)
Follow these simple steps to secure your spot on any of our tours, treks, or personalized experiences in Peru. Safety and data verification are our priorities at every stage.
Step 1: Selection and Quote
- Choose your preferred tour or trek and tentative travel dates.
- Send us your request via the web form or contact an advisor via email or WhatsApp. You will receive a detailed quote including prices, included services, and exclusions.
Step 2: Documentation Delivery
- To verify availability and issue official (named) tickets, you must send a clear and valid copy of your Passport (or ID/DNI for Peruvians) and your Date of Birth.
- Accuracy is critical: Any error in the issuance of official tickets may incur penalty and re-issuance costs.
Step 3: Deposit Payment
- To confirm your reservation irrevocably, you must pay the initial deposit (generally between 30% and 50% of the total).
- We accept secure payments via credit/debit card or bank transfer. Details and applicable commissions can be found in our Payment Policy.
Step 4: Confirmation and Final Balance
- Once the deposit is received, our team will send you the Official Booking Confirmation, including the detailed itinerary and payment receipts.
- The remaining balance must be settled according to the reservation conditions (usually 48 hours before the start of the tour or by the deadline established in your invoice).
2. Essential Identification Requirements
Peruvian regulations require that Machu Picchu entrance tickets and trekking permits be strictly strictly issued in the traveler’s name and match their travel document.
- Valid Passport: This is the primary document for international travelers. It must have a minimum validity of six months from the date of entry into Peru.
- Traveling with Multiple Documents: If you booked with a passport that is about to expire, you must notify us immediately and send a copy of the new passport once renewed. Updates to tickets already issued may generate an administrative cost.
- Student Discount: University students must present a valid International Student Identity Card (ISIC) or a current university card that complies with the regulations of the National Superintendence of Higher University Education (SUNEDU) of Peru. The discount applies only if the physical document is presented upon entering the sites.
3. Booking FAQ
We resolve the most common questions to provide you with a fluid and reliable booking experience.
- How far in advance should I book? For treks like the Inca Trail (4 or 2 days) and during High Season (May-September), we recommend booking 4 to 6 months in advance. For other tours and low season, 30 days is usually sufficient.
- Is my payment secure? Yes. We use certified payment gateways with SSL encryption. Authentic Puriq Tours never stores your financial data. Please consult our Payment Policy and Privacy Policy for more details.
- What happens if I need to cancel or change the date? Please review our Booking, Change, and Refund Policy. The possibility of changes and penalty fees depend on how far in advance the notification is made.
